Linda Hoyt has many years of experience teaching in elementary classrooms. She has also worked as a reading specialist, a staff developer, a curriculum specialist, and is currently a full-time consultant. Her special love is creating environments where children engage as active participants in the learning process.

Lynnette Brent Sandvold has many years of experience teaching reading, language arts, and drama in middle school classrooms. In addition to teaching and serving as a K–12 literacy consultant, Lynnette has also authored numerous trade books for children in social studies and science and a professional development series that integrates the teaching of reading and writing strategies with content-area materials.
